(1) Dear Alice, Actually, my case of trypanophobia [fear of injections or inoculations] is severe enough that the embarrassment of kicking, screaming, and being held down/chased DOES NOT outweigh the fear of getting the shot. Usually, I'm in too great of a state of panic to think logically enough to do much to prevent it. I'm kind of stuck... -a trypanophobic
[back to top] Hi, I'm about to start college and I used to be in the same situation as you. Recently, (recently being 4 days ago) I had to go and get 2 vaccines, and a Tuberculosis Skin Test. All of my life I've been deathly afraid of needles, so to go in and get three needles stuck in me, alone, scared me. However, I will tell you, it's not as bad as I thought, or as I had remembered from past shots. It just feels like an annoying fly bite. Afterward, I wasn't sore, and was happy that I had faced my fear. Good luck to you, but you shouldn't need it.
