Hi Alice,
Just writing to say what a great relief finding your site was, as i have been looking for answers about some facial hair loss i have recently been 'blessed with?' I was looking for some help when i stumbled on a letter to you by a guy who called himself: ? 'The clean shaven one,' who was asking for a second opinion on his medication for the exact same symptoms as myself. I thought i was the only one in the world! 3 months ago i remember looking in the mirror one morning to find an almost perfectly round shaped, baby soft, bald patch at the side of my chin, about 2 to 3 inches in diameter. Thinking that i had probably shaved too close in that spot the day before, or that God was very gradually answering my requests to not have to shave again, i thought nothing of it. Until about a week later, people at work and my two sons started mentioning it and asking me questions about it. To their amusement! (It is quite noticeable as i have dark hair and complexion.) I, too, have been over-shaving to try to make it not so noticeable, and barring work, have confined myself to the house, as it has given my already low self-esteem even more fuel to burn. Unlike 'The clean shaven one,' i have yet to go to the doctors, but I have made an appointment for next week. I, too, am very cautious of medication, and also doctors, due to several bad experiences in the past. But i am quite anxious to know what this small bald patch is, and if it will get better, or worse. Anyway, nice to know i'm not alone with this strange affliction, and wish 'The clean shaven one' a full and healthy hairy face. Yours thankfully,
